Monaghan overcome Meath at Scotstown
Monaghan 1-12 Meath 0-10, Scotstown
With Dublin's match postponed, Monaghan moved two points clear at the top of Division 2 by overcoming Meath at Scotstown.
An 11th-minute goal from Paul Finlay had Monaghan on the right track and Meath were poor in the first half, shooting just one point from play.
Cian Ward kicked three frees for the Royals who trailed by 1-7 to 0-4 at the break.
And despite losing JP Mone to injury, Monaghan won out with Vincent Corey and Stephen Gollogly adding their names to the scoresheet.
