Tyrone gain crucial ground against Donegal
Tyrone 0-11 Donegal 0-9, Edendork
Tyrone gained crucial ground in NFL Division 1 by edging out their Ulster rivals Donegal in this re-fixed game at Edendork.
After a 15-minute delay due to crowd congestion, the sides were evenly matched during the first half but two points from Enda McGinley had Tyrone leading 0-6 to 0-5 at half-time.
Donegal, who had only lost one previous league game, briefly hit the front thanks to efforts from Ryan Bradley and Colm McFadden.
But the hosts dug deep to prevail in a veritable war of attrition.
The influential McGinley picked off the final point to confirm only Tyrone's second league win.
