Monaghan booked a final spot against South Down on April 13 thanks to today's convincing victory over Cavan in heavy conditions at Kingspan Breffni Park.

Assisted by a very strong wind, the visitors led by 1-10 to 1-2 at half-time, with top scorer Michael Dolan (2-5) bagging the Monaghan goal.

Dolan again netted on the restart as positive performances for Frank Brady's side from Brian McGuigan and captain Arthur Hughes saw them prevail.
