No surprises as Royals take points

Meath 1-16 Armagh 1-7

The Royals always looked likely winners in today's NHL Division 2B encounter played at a wet and windy Keady.

Meath led by 0-6 to 0-1 after 15 minutes with Niall Hackett and Nicky Horan proving influential.

Armagh cut the gap to three points thanks to the efforts of Declan Coulter, but the Royals were strongest before half-time - taking a 0-9 to 0-5 lead.

Although Coulter netted for Armagh on the restart, the performances of Hackett, Horan and Stephen Clynch kept Meath ticking over.
