McCarthy selected as GPA's national development officer

The Gaelic Players Association have confirmed the appointment of former Sligo footballer Dara McGarty as the new national development officer for the players' body.

McGarty has been a member of the Sligo senior football panel for the past seven seasons and was part of the side that won the county's first Connacht SFC title since 1975 last summer.
