Louth secure win against Sligo
Louth 6-12 Sligo 2-11, Dundalk
A second half goal rush inspired Louth to a 13-point victory over Sligo at Dundalk in an entertaining Division 3 encounter.
Louth held a 1-07 to 0-06 interval lead, however Sligo had Fiachra Coyne dismissed before the break and this hampered them badly in the second half.
Louth rallied strongly with top scorer Shane Kerrigan making a very positive contribution.
Despite Colin Herity and Morgan Fitzsimons grabbing second half goals for the visitors, Louth's scoring prowess saw them through.
Tyrone v Longford, Omagh (Postponed)
Tyrone and Longford will have to meet again after the midlanders' journey to Healy Park was in vain.
The Longford players and management were already in transit before confirmation of the postponement of their Division 3 tie came through.
The Omagh venue was deemed unplayable at 12.15pm after a pitch inspection by referee Fergus Devereux from Kildare.
The game will now be re-fixed at a meeting of the GAA's Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) tomorrow at Croke Park.
