Wasteful Wexford lose to Antrim

Antrim 3-11 Wexford 1-10, Dunloy

Antrim saw off a wasteful Wexford side at Dunloy to get their NHL Division 1A campaign back on track.

Wexford hit a total of 16 wides and were left chasing the game when Kieron Herron (7 minutes) and Karl Stewart (26) both netted for the Saffrons.

Wexford goalkeeper Dermot Flynn failed to stop an 80-yard free from Herron and when Stewart goaled again, 16 minutes into the second half, the visitors were in real trouble.

Eoin Quigley fired home a major in response but the damage was done.
