Mulvey and Duffy to travel to Cork

New GAA Director General Paraic Duffy and Labour Relations Commission Chief Kieran Mulvey will travel to Cork today in a bid to resolve the ongoing dispute between the Cork senior hurlers and footballers and the Cork County Board.

Speaking this morning, at his first press conference as Ard Stiurthoir, Duffy revealed that both himself and Mulvey will travel to Cork this afternoon.

"Kieran Mulvey has worked very hard in the last few weeks and has had contact with both parties over the last few days and is fit to resume discussions this evening," Duffy stated.

"Kieran is going to Cork this afternoon and I am going with him to see if we can move this along. Kieran felt that it would be helpful and obviously I am happy with that."

However Duffy conceded: "We are going to Cork with no magic solution in our pockets. We are going down to see if there is a way out of this - but that's as much as I can say really."
