Waterford march into semi-finals

Waterford 5-14 IT Tralee 2-5

Waterford marched into next weekend's Waterford Crystal Cup semi-finals thanks to a facile win over IT Tralee at Carrickbeg.

Helped by a 1-6 contribution from Eoin Kelly, the Deise qualified for a January 20 meeting with Davy Fitzgerald's Limerick IT side.

The reigning National League and Munster champions led by 2-6 to 2-2 at half-time and pushed on with John Mullane grabbing the goal of the game with a low, drilled shot.

IT Tralee battled bravely but came up short and were disappointed that a change of venue from Pairc Ui Rinn to Carrickbeg, the home of St. Molleran's, added two hours to their journey time.
