Armagh star Oisin McConville grabbed a goal and six points as he guided Crossmaglen to a 1-9 to 1-6 win over St. Gall's in today's Ulster Senior Club Football Championship final at Newry.

Cross conceded a first half goal to the Antrim side's Aidan Gallagher but McConville got them back level by half-time.

Good work from Kevin Niblock and Karl Stewart teed up Gallagher for a smart finish past Cross goalkeeper Paul Hearty in the 22nd-minute.

A point from wide out from Aaron Kernan and a late brace from McConville, who struck a wonderful second in injury-time, saw the sides go in at the break locked level.

The defending champions moved ahead when McConville netted in the 35th-minute, after a powerful run from David McKenna, and they held on to claim their sixth Ulster crown.

Former All-Star McConville was equal to anything St. Gall's could muster, which included some well-taken scores from CJ and Kevin McGourty.
