McEnaney names same 15 for Kerry clash

Monaghan manager Seamus McEnaney has opted to stick with the same team that started the recent qualifier win against Donegal for this Sunday's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Kerry (Croke Park, throw-in 2pm).

A first-half goalscorer against Donegal and July's GPA Footballer of the Month, Vincent Corey is named at full-back although he is likely to venture forward at some stage given his very effective displays at full-forward against Tyrone and Donegal.

Corey assumes the full-back role in place of Colm Flanagan who moves to the left corner with Dermot McArdle switching to the half-back line.

Meanwhile, Rory Woods and Paul Finlay make a direct switch in attack, with Finlay now positioned at centre forward.

Sunday's game is the fifth ever meeting between the sides in the championship with Monaghan still in search of a first win over Kerry. It is also the first time the Farney county will contest an All-Ireland quarter-final.

The counties last met in competitive action last year in the National Football League when Kerry beat Monaghan in the Division One tie by a point at Scotstown.

MONAGHAN (SFC v Kerry) - S Duffy; D Mone, V Corey, C Flanagan; D McArdle, G McQuaid, JP Mone; D Clerkin, E Lennon; S Gollogly, P Finlay, D Freeman (capt); C McManus, R Woods, T Freeman.
