Babs Keating has resigned as Tipperary hurling manager a week after his side failed to progress to the All-Ireland semi-finals.

Keating announced his departure last night and is believed to be considering a move to Dubai.

Liam Sheedy is favourite to succeed him in the job, with John Leahy and former manager Nicky English also being linked to the vacancy.
