Paul Curran will make his first start of the 2007 championship when Tipperary take on Dublin in Saturday's All-Ireland SHC qualifier (Parnell Park, throw-in 3pm).
Curran, an All-Star nominee last year, returns to the Tipp defence after recovering from a broken toe.
He damaged his toe whilst playing for Mullinahone in a club game last month and the injury ruled him out of contention for the Premier county's three games against Limerick.
Curran, whose full-back place went to Declan Fanning for the first clash with Limerick, comes in at left corner back for this weekend's tie to replace the injured Diarmaid Fitzgerald.
Tipp boss Michael 'Babs' Keating has made a total of five changes to the team that squeezed past Offaly in their first qualifier last Saturday.
Burgess clubman Shane Maher will make his championship debut at left half-back while Benny Dunne, Lar Corbett and Willie Ryan all return to the starting line-up.
Shane McGrath, James Woodlock, Pa Bourke and Liam Cahill are the players to drop to the bench.
Tipp, who are top of the Group 1B table along with Cork, are meeting Dublin in a championship match for the first time since the 1961 All-Ireland final which the men from Munster won by 0-16 to 1-12.
