Draw made for Tommy Murphy Cup
The draw for the opening stages of the 2007 Tommy Murphy Cup has been made with Offaly, losers to Dublin in yesterday's Leinster SFC semi-final, handed a tricky trip to Wicklow in the first round.
The second-tier tournament, which was won by Louth last August, will begin next Saturday with a preliminary round tie between Kilkenny and Antrim at Nowlan Park.
The winners of that will join seven other teams in the first round proper on the following Saturday - July 7.
Kilkenny or Antrim will meet London at Ruislip in the first round, while Offaly are off to Aughrim to take on Mick O'Dwyer's Wicklow side, Carlow are Dungarvan-bound to tussle with Waterford and Tipperary will host their Munster rivals Clare in Ardfinnan.
This is the fourth year of the Tommy Murphy Cup with Clare and Tipperary having lifted the trophy in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Louth were 3-14 to 1-11 winners over Leitrim in last August's final at Croke Park.
