Damien Burke's impressive display in Galway's Connacht SFC quarter-final win over Mayo last month has won him the Connacht GAA Writers' Personality of the Month award for May.

Burke, who lined out at left corner back in the 2-10 to 0-9 victory in Salthill, did an excellent man-marking job on Conor Mortimer and succeeded in keeping one of Mayo's most potent forwards scoreless from play.
