Donegal manager Brian McIver has reshuffled his forward pack for Sunday's crunch Ulster SFC semi-final against Tyrone (Clones, throw-in 2.15pm).

2006 captain Christy Toye is suffering from chickenpox and he has been replaced in the Tir Chonaill team by Brendan Devenney.

Devenney came off the bench to score the late, clinching goal against Armagh last time out. The St Eunan's marksman is back as a starter after recovering sufficiently from a stomach muscle problem.

He will line out at full-forward as the only change in personnel manager Brian McIver has made to the Donegal side that squeezed past Armagh by 1-9 to 1-8 in Ballybofey.

There is one positional switch with half-forwards Brian Roper and Rory Kavanagh swapping wings.

In a considerable boost, Michael Hegarty has retained his place at left corner forward despite doubts over his fitness. The Kilcar clubman recently underwent a knee cartilage operation and has sat out a number of training sessions in the lead-up to the game.

McIver was not too hopeful of Hegarty playing in Sunday's tie, admitting earlier in the week that the forward "isn't likely to make it as this stage," but the 27-year-old's condition has obviously improved.

Sunday's fixture is Donegal's first championship meeting with Tyrone since 2004.

Tyrone have won nine of the counties' previous 15 SFC clashes, with Donegal's fifth and most recent win coming in the 2004 Ulster semi-final.

The Tir Chonaill men claimed a 1-11 to 0-9 victory over the then defending All-Ireland champions that day, with Colm McFadden grabbing a personal haul of 1-7.
