Laois unchanged for Offaly test

Laois manager Damien Fox has named an unchanged team for Sunday's Leinster SHC quarter-final against Offaly (Tullamore, throw-in 3.30pm).

Fox has kept faith with the side that lost to Limerick in the recent National Hurling League Division One play-off.

There is one positional switch with John Brophy and Joe Phelan swapping wings in the forwards, the latter now stationed in the left corner.

Defender Brian Campion (shoulder) and forward John Joe McHugh (finger) will both miss Laois' championship opener due to injury.

This weekend sees Offaly seeking their 13th successive Leinster championship win over Laois, who recorded their last victory over their neighbours in 1972.

The counties have clashed 50 times in the championship, with Offaly leading 29-17 while there has been four draws.

The sides met last year in a game which was ruined by appalling weather conditions. Offaly won by 2-12 to 0-8, before losing to Wexford in Leinster's last-four.

LAOIS (SHC v Offaly) - P Mullaney; C Healy, D Rooney, K Fitzpatrick; M McEvoy, M Whelan, C Dunne; J Fitzpatrick (capt), S Dollard; W Hyland; J Young, J Phelan; J Brophy, T Fitzgerald, J Phelan.
