Dempsey keeps the faith for U-21 football decider

Laois Under-21 football manager Sean Dempsey has kept faith with the 15 players that beat Mayo in the recent semi-final for tomorrow night's Cadbury's All-Ireland football final against Cork (Semple Stadium, throw-in 7pm).

This means that 16-year old rising talent Donie Kingston of Barrowhouse, a cousin of wing forward Donie Brennan and Laois senior player Brian 'Beano' McDonald, will be just one of a number of influential players the Laois management can spring from the bench.

Meanwhile, Cork manager Tony Leahy has made two changes to his side for the game.

Bantry Blues clubman Kevin Harrington replaces Gearoid O'Shea at left corner-back, while the other change from the side that edged out Armagh in the semi-final sees Seanie Cahalane of Castlehaven taking over from St. Finbarr's Roy Leahy at top of the left.

The Rebels are bidding to land their first All-Ireland Under-21 title in 13 years, having lost last year's decider to Mayo, while Laois have yet to win a championship at this age grade.
