Corkery point forces draw
Cork 1-15 Tipperary 1-15
A late Briege Corkery point for Cork today ensured that a Munster Senior Camogie Championship Final/National League Playoff replay must take place midweek to decide who faces Wexford in the National League final.
Cork made a blistering start to this game and held a 1-4 to 0-0 lead after the opening quarter, with Una O'Donoghue finding the net after just a minute and a half before points followed from Jennifer O'Leary (three) and O'Donoghue.
Tipperary captain Claire Grogan opened Tipperary's account with a pointed free in the 16th minute but the Rebels remained strong with points from Anna Geary (two) and Elaine Burke to ensure an eight point lead ten minutes before half-time.
The home side then had their strongest period with a Jill Horan goal and a second Claire Grogan point ensuring a 1-7 to 1-2 half-time scoreline.
Tipperary were simply a better side in the second half and good scores from Claire Grogan, Joanne Ryan and Noelle Kennedy helped force extra-time.
Both sides were excellent in extra-time with Tipperary taking a two point cushion before Orla Cotter and Briege Corkery points forced extra-time.
