Two changes for Red Hands

Dermot Carlin and Colm Cavanagh have been drafted back into the Tyrone team for Sunday's must-win NFL Division 1A match against Mayo (Omagh, throw-in 3.30pm).

Carlin missed last weekend's drawn game with Kerry because of the 'flu, but he will face the Connacht champions having been declared fit. He takes over from Ciaran Gourley at left corner-back.

Colm McCullagh's sending-off against Kerry means he is suspended for Sunday's tie, so Colm Cavanagh has been added to the Red Hands' attack.

2005 All Star Stephen O'Neill may play some part at Healy Park after recovering from a bout of the 'flu. The Clan na Gael clubman has been named on the bench.

Tyrone need a win to guarantee themselves Division One football next year. If they were to lose to Mayo and Dublin beat Kerry, then depending on how the scoring differences work out, Mickey Harte's Ulster side would slide down to Division Two.

Tyrone's form has been patchy and they will need to draw out a big performance. Their last four league games have resulted in a win, a draw and two defeats.

TYRONE (NFL v Mayo) - P McConnell; R McMenamin, P Donnelly, D Carlin; D Harte, C Gormley, Justin McMahon; Joe McMahon, R Mellon; B Dooher, M Penrose, R Mulgrew; N Gormley, C Cavanagh, O Mulligan.
