First-half scoring burst puts Cork into semis
Clare 0-14 Cork 1-13
A scoring burst of 1-3 without reply just before the break in Ennis was crucial as Cork qualified for the Division One semi-finals.
The Rebels trailed Clare by 0-6 to 0-1 midway through the first half but Neil Ronan's 34th-minute goal, allied to points from Joe Deane (0-2) and Kieran Murphy, gave the visitors a 1-5 to 0-7 half-time lead.
Despite losing Alan Markham to a hamstring injury, Clare regained their advantage with Barry Nugent and Bernard Gaffney in scoring form.
Yet Cork went top of the table thanks to telling points from John Gardiner, Tom Kenny and Deane (0-2).
