Sherlock quits Cork panel

Wayne Sherlock has withdrawn from the Cork senior hurling panel - the versatile defender is understood to be angered at his lack of game-time in recent weeks.

Sherlock's last outing for Cork was against Down in the National Hurling League a fortnight ago, but he was omitted for last week's Division 1A win over Wexford and he has failed to make the starting fifteen for tomorrow's clash with Clare.
