Gormley goal helps Tyrone to win

A Niall Gormley goal helped Tyrone edge out Limerick in a dour battle at the Gaelic Grounds.

The win sees Mickey Harte's side join Dublin and Kerry on six points in Division 1A.

Micheal Reidy sent over his second point of the tie to draw the sides level at 0-2 apiece after 21 minutes but corner forward Gormley netted just moments later.

Tyrone led 1-3 to 0-4 at half-time with Stephen O'Neill and Ryan Mellon their point-scorers.

Limerick hit seven wides in the first half and they waited 26 minutes before Reidy added to their tally in the second period.
