Steven McDonnell struck a last-gasp goal as Armagh wrestled two Division 1B points away from their neighbours Louth at Crossmaglen.

McDonnell blasted home in injury-time as the Orchard men won out despite early injuries to Ciaran McKeever, Charlie Vernon and Gareth Swift.

Louth took a 0-7 to 0-5 lead into the break with Darren Clarke (0-3) and Christy Grimes (0-2) impressing.

Armagh fought back to level at 0-9 apiece, Paddy Keenan and Mark Stanfield replied for Louth before McDonnell proved the sucker punch.

Malachy Mackin got a straight red card for Armagh while the visitors had Colin Goss dismissed.
