Late surge doesn't do it for Antrim
Antrim 1-11 Meath 2-11, Casement Park
Brian Farrell struck 2-4 as Meath held off a late surge from Antrim to take this entertaining Division 2B tie at Casement Park.
Nobber clubman Farrell netted on 6 and 41 minutes to help race the Royals into a 2-10 to 0-6 lead.
However, Ciaran Close's injury-time goal and an eight-point haul from Paddy Cunningham had Colm Coyle's visitors sweating at the finish.
Antrim 'keeper John Finucane lost the flight of a Farrell free, in the glare of the floodlights, for the early goal. A cross from Cian Ward, who struck 0-3, played full-forward Farrell in for his second.
