Quinn to the rescue for Dubs
Limerick 1-10 Dublin 0-14, Gaelic Grounds
Tomas Quinn was Dublin's saviour as they scraped to their first win of the new NFL campaign at the Gaelic Grounds.
Substitute Quinn belted over a '45', two minutes into injury-time, to end the Shannonsiders' hopes of a shock victory.
David O'Callaghan pointed twice as the Dubs moved into an early lead, but a cracking 25th-minute goal from Limerick full-forward Darren Horan pegged the Leinster champions back.
0-9 to 1-5 down at the break, Limerick levelled on 41 minutes through Pat Ahern and, although Gareth Noonan squared up the game again with a late '45', Quinn had the last word.
