Toomevara creep past Erins Own in Munster hurling final

A dramatic comeback saw Toomevara come back from nine points down to squeeze past Erins Own, 2-09 to 2-08, in the Munster hurling final at the Gaelic Grounds.

But there was controversy at the end.

Erins Own, backed by a strong breeze, led at half time 2-4 to 0-3.

Two goals in the second half brought the Tippeary side back into the contest.

Late points from Kenny Dunne gave them victory, the last one coming from a 65.

This came just before the referee had overruled an attempted 65 from Erins Own.
