Provinces to do battle under lights
The semi finals in the M Donnelly Interprovincial Football Championship will take place under lights, it was announced today.
Munster will take on Connacht in Ballyforan, Roscommon on Friday night (October 6, 8pm) and Leinster begin their title defence against Ulster at Kingspan Breffni Park in Cavan on Saturday night (October 7, 7pm).
The provinces will be playing for a place in the M Donnelly Interprovincial Football Championship final in Canton, Boston on October 22.
Leinster overcame Ulster in a thrilling final in Parnell Park in 2005 and both provinces now hold 27 Interprovincial titles. Connacht and Munster have some ground to make up in terms of the roll of honour - Munster's last success was in 1999 while Connacht haven't won the title since 1969.
