O'Hara sidelined for International Rules Series

Sligo midfielder Eamonn O'Hara will not be taking part in next month's International Rules Series between Ireland and Australia.

The Tourlestrane clubman, who was named in Ireland manager Sean Boylan's provisional panel, is suffering from a niggling groin injury and has been forced to withdraw.

The 30-year-old leaves his club mate Brendan Egan and Curry's Sean Davey as Sligo's remaining representatives in the Irish squad.

O'Hara is to join a number of other GAA stars on a trip to Malawi next month on behalf of the 'Playing For Life' charity, which is fronted by RTÉ horse racing presenter Tracey Piggott.

The trip will aim to educate local youngsters through sport and help build a school and training centre.
