Farrell withdraws from Meath race
Dudley Farrell has withdrawn his name from the list of candidates for the post of Meath senior football manager.
That means that outgoing boss Eamonn Barry will be challenging three other men in order to hold onto his job.
Former Royal favourite Tommy Dowd and Colm Coyle, who previously managed Monaghan, are in the running, as is former Louth manager Paddy Carr.
Nobber clubman Farrell took the Meath minors to their first Leinster title since 1993 this season.
The interviewing process for the senior position begins next week with the Royal county's management committee also free to interview external candidates.
