Bonner fitness boost for Dubs
Dublin manager Paul Caffrey should have a full hand to choose from when he selects his team for Saturday week's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Westmeath.
St. Brigid's forward Kevin Bonner is expected to return to full training tomorrow evening, boosting Caffrey's attacking options for the all-Leinster tie.
A toe injury, sustained in training, saw Bonner sidelined for the Dubs' Leinster final victory over Offaly on July 16. But he now looks set to challenge his club mate Declan Lally for a wing forward berth.
The remainder of Caffrey's forward six seems settled upon with Conal Keaney, Alan Brogan, Ray Cosgrove, Jason Sherlock and Mossie Quinn all showing excellent form this summer.
Keaney (0-17 (9f)) and Quinn (2-10 (6f)), in particular, have shone so far, scoring 2-27 between them in three games.
Meanwhile, the GAA have confirmed that the Dublin-Westmeath game will have a 4pm throw-in time at Croke Park.
It will be preceded by the Nicky Rackard Cup final between Donegal and Derry which will start at 2pm.
