Saffrons sweat on Watson fitness

Antrim may be forced to play Sunday's Christy Ring Cup final without one of their key players - Liam Watson.

The Loughgiel clubman has displayed some devastating form for the Saffrons in their last three games, scoring a total of 4-20, but is rated doubtful for the Ring Cup decider against Carlow in Croke Park (throw-in 2pm).

Watson has a hand injury and will discuss the problem with the Antrim management before they finalise their team tomorrow night.

Since losing to Down by a surprising margin of 16 points in their Ring Cup opener, Antrim have gone unbeaten in the competition - beating Roscommon, Meath, London and Kildare.
