Declan Browne, so often the talisman for Tipperary's footballers, is a notable absentee from the Premier county team to face Leitrim tomorrow (Thurles, throw-in 1.30pm).

The 28-year-old former All-Star is getting married tomorrow afternoon so he will sit out the Tommy Murphy Cup quarter-final tie at Semple Stadium.

Tipp will certainly miss the Moyle Rovers man's scoring ability - he struck ten points in the opening game of their Murphy Cup defence against Waterford.

Tipp boss Seamus McCarthy has brought Kilruane's Kevin Quinlan and Mark Peters of the Galtee Rovers club into his attack with both Browne and Niall Fitzgerald dropping out.

Browne captained the Premier men to victory over Wexford in last year's Murphy Cup final, running up a personal tally of 1-7 in the 3-10 to 0-15 win.

TIPPERARY (Murphy Cup v Leitrim) - P Fitzgerald; M Phelan (capt), A Foley, A Morrissey; P O'Flaherty, R Costigan, C Maher; K Mulryan, B Lacey; K Quinlan, P Austin, M Peters; D O'Brien, H Coghlan, B Hickey.
