Gilleran in for Longford

Barry Gilleran has replaced Noel Farrell at full-back in the Longford team for Saturday's All-Ireland SFC fourth round qualifier against Kerry at Fitzgerald Stadium (throw-in 3.30pm).

Gilleran has made the step up from U21 level this season and his second half performance - when brought on for Farrell - in the third round victory over Derry must have pleased manager Luke Dempsey.

The Longford Slashers youngster was brilliant under the high ball against the Oak Leafers, but Kerry look certain to combat that by putting the 6ft 5in Kieran Donaghy in on mark him.

Gilleran's inclusion is the only change from the 1-16 to 2-12 win over Derry.

Trevor Smullen remains at left half-forward, despite not being able to train since the Derry game due to injury.

Dempsey's charges have won three games on the trot - beating Waterford, Tipperary and Derry - since their Leinster championship exit at the hands of Dublin, and are expected to bring 6,000 supporters to Killarney this weekend.

LONGFORD (SFC v Kerry) - D Sheridan (Capt.); D Brady, B Gilleran, C Conefrey; S Mulligan, D Masterson, D Reilly; B McElvaney, L Keenan; P Berry, P Barden, T Smullen; D Barden, P Dowd, B Kavanagh.
