Cork call on Sexton

Experienced defender Eoin Sexton has been recalled to the Cork line-up for Sunday's Munster SFC final replay against defending champions Kerry (Pairc Ui Chaoimh, throw-in 3.30pm).

The Kilbrittain clubman, who was used as a substitute in the drawn game, has been named at left half-back. He replaces the suspended Anthony Lynch, who was given a straight red card for an elbow on Kerry's Kieran Donaghy last weekend.

Seven of Billy Morgan's side made their Munster final debuts in the Killarney game, including Aghada's Pierce O'Neill, who had never played for the Rebel county before at senior level.

Despite being substituted in the 0-10 to 0-10 draw, O'Neill, Under-21 starlet Fintan Goold and Nemo forward Sean O'Brien have all retained their places in the Cork attack.

Corner forward James Masters will be a marked man once again - he scored 0-07 (6f) in the drawn game, taking his 2006 championship tally to 0-15 (10f). The Nemo star scored 1-14 during last year's championship.

The omens for a Cork win are good. The neighbouring rivals last met in a championship replay in 2002 when Cork won a Munster semi-final, while their last Munster final replay was back in 1987 when the Rebels earned a 0-13 to 1-05 victory in Killarney.
