Brennan back to lead the Dubs

O'Toole's clubman Philip Brennan will resume his captaincy of the Dublin hurlers tomorrow when they take on Limerick in their final All-Ireland SHC Group B qualifier (Gaelic Grounds, throw-in 7.30pm).

Brennan injured his back in a recent club game and missed last weekend's defeat to Clare at Parnell Park. He returns at left corner back.

Ger O'Meara has also fought off injury to be named at right corner back.

The third and final personnel change from last weekend's 1-16 to 4-21 defeat sees Peadar Carton start at left corner forward.

The players making way are the injured Aodhan de Paor (groin), Derek O'Reilly and John Kelly.

Dublin manager Tommy Naughton is without the services of Eoin Moran and Keith Dunne who are both out of the country. Under-21 attacker Dunne caught the eye when coming off the bench against Clare to score two points.

The Dubs are currently bottom of Group B. They need to beat Limerick by a sizeable margin and rely on Clare accounting for Offaly to avoid playing-off against the bottom team in Group A to determine who is relegated to Tier 2 for next season.

DUBLIN (SHC v Limerick) - G Maguire; G O'Meara, K Ryan, P Brennan (capt); M Carton, R Fallon, T Brady; S McDonnell, D Sweeney; J McCaffrey, L Ryan, D Curtin; A McCrabbe, K Flynn, P Carton.
