O'Neill to make Cork debut against Kerry
After a less than impressive performance against Limerick, Cork manager Billy Morgan has made five changes to his side for Sunday's Munster SFC final against Kerry in Killarney (throw-in 4pm).
Aghada clubman Pierce O’Neill, despite never having played for Cork at senior level, will lead the attack.
Michael Prout and Michael Shields both earn defensive call-ups, with Nemo's Sean O'Brien flanking him and Donncha O'Connor of Ballydesmond at the top on the left.
The Rebels will include seven Munster final debutants as they attempt to beat the defending champions and bring the provincial crown back to Leeside for the first time since 2002.
Goalkeeper Alan Quirke, right corner back Prout, left corner back Kieran O’Connor, right half-back Shields, centre-back Ger Spillane, centre-forward O’Neill and left corner forward Donnacha O’Connor will taste Munster final action for the first time this weekend.
Sean Levis, Noel O'Leary, Conor McCarthy, David Niblock and Kevin O'Sullivan all make way from the team that beat Limerick 0-09 to 0-05 last month.
CORK (SFC v Kerry): A Quirke; M Prout, G Canty, K O'Connor; M Shields, G Spillane, A Lynch; D Kavanagh (capt), N Murphy; S O'Brien, P O'Neill, K MacMahon; J Masters, F Goold, D O'Connor.
