Dublin prove little trouble to Clare
DUBLIN 1-16 CLARE 4-21
Clare had little trouble in seeing off Dublin in this evening’s All-Ireland SHC Group B qualifier at Parnell Park.
The Banner men led 3-11 to 0-12 at the half time whistle with goals from Alan Markham (13 and 34 minutes) and Niall Gilligan (17).
Dublin’s Liam Ryan pulled on a David Curtin sideline ball to net in the 51st-minute. Gilligan ran up his tally to 2-05 with his second goal.
Clare manager Anthony Daly said: “We didn’t deserve to win by that margin. We just availed of a bit of slackness in the Dublin full-back line in the first half.”
