Limerick County Board has appointed an interim management team for the county's senior hurlers following the surprise resignation of Joe McKenna over the weekend.

Limerick County Board has appointed an interim management team for the county's senior hurlers following the surprise resignation of Joe McKenna over the weekend.

The new team consists of existing selector Liam Lenihan along with Richie Bennett and Tony Hickey.

Gary Kirby has also been appointed in an advisory role.

Limerick will now begin preparations for their upcoming All-Ireland qualifier against Offaly in less than two weeks' time.
