Scullion and Murtagh in for Down

Down have made two changes to their side for Sunday's Ulster SFC quarter-final against Donegal in Ballybofey (throw-in 4pm).

Carryduff defender Adrian Scullion returns to the line-up, replacing Damien Rafferty in the half back line, with Ballyholland's Ronan Murtagh gaining a start at left half-forward.

Murtagh caught the eye when hitting two late points as a substitute in Down's preliminary round win over Cavan.

Elsewhere in the Down side, goalkeeper Mickey McVeigh (aged 35) has recovered from a hamstring injury to retain his place, recent 'flu victim Dan Hughes starts at right corner forward but Burren defender Dan McCartan is not listed.

According to Down boss Paddy O'Rourke, McCartan, who injured his kneecap in training recently, was "a slight doubt" for the weekend, but he will now not be risked.

A number of positional switches from the win over Cavan see Alan Molloy revert from midfield to defence take McCartan's left corner back berth, while Longstone's Ambrose Rogers moves to midfield to partner Dan Gordon.

Liam Doyle, a right corner forward against Cavan, leads the Mourne attack on the forty.

DOWN (SFC v Donegal) - B McVeigh; M Cole, B Grant, A Molloy; P Murphy, J Clarke, A Scullion; A Rogers, D Gordon; E McCartan, L Doyle, R Murtagh; D Hughes, B Coulter (capt), M Walsh.
