Bergin injury concern for Galway
2001 All-Ireland winner Joe Bergin's bad luck with injuries could be about to continue.
The Galway forward was forced to limp off during his club Mountbellew-Moylough's 1-10 to 0-9 Senior League win over St Brendan's yesterday afternoon.
25-year-old Bergin only recently returned from a cruciate knee ligament injury that wrecked his 2005 campaign. The extent of the new injury, which could be an aggravation of the same knee problem, is yet to be confirmed.
Bergin came off the bench to kick a point in Galway's Connacht SFC quarter-final win over Sligo on Saturday. The Tribesmen next face Roscommon at Hyde Park on June 18.
