Connacht Club Footballer of the Year Alan Kerins is unlikely to play any part in the Galway senior football team's Championship campaign.

Speaking at the launch of the Bank of Ireland All-Ireland Football Championship, Galway manager Peter Ford conceded that he wanted Kerins on board but that the 29-year-old seems certain to commit to Conor Hayes' hurling panel.
