Clare hurler Tony Carmody and Galway footballer Michael Meehan were named today as the Vodafone GAA Players of the Month for March.

Clare hurler Tony Carmody and Galway footballer Michael Meehan have been named today as the Vodafone GAA Players of the Month for March.

The award for Inagh sharpshooter Carmody is a richly deserved one as he helped Clare soar to the top of the NHL Division 1A standings with wins over Waterford (1-16 to 0-15) and Offaly (2-22 to 2-14).
