Mayo regain U21 fottball title
Mayo 0-15 Galway 1-05
Mayo regained their grip on the Cadbury's Connacht Under-21 football title with a win over 2005 All-Ireland champions Galway.
Davitts clubman Michael Conroy was the star in Castlebar as he hit 0-05. Ballaghaderreen's Joey Dillon notched 0-03.
Conroy and Aidan Kilcoyne kicked two points apiece in the first half as Mayo turned around with a 0-07 to 0-02 lead. Tommy Costello (free) and Niall Coleman scored for the Tribesmen.
A Fiachra Breathnach goal came too late for Galway as points from Conroy (0-03), Mark Donaldson and Chris Barrett in the closing stage saw Mayo pick up their third Connacht crown in four seasons.
