Injury KO's McCarthy's league involvement

Kerry will be without full back Michael McCarthy for Sunday's Division 1A clash with Dublin and the remainder of the League, should they progress to the knockout stages.

McCarthy broke a bone in his hand in training on Tuesday night. With his hand currently in a cast, the Kilcummin clubman is expected to be sidelined for between four and eight weeks.

A draftsman by profession, McCarthy has been ever-present for Kerry in the League campaign, starting all six games to date. He is now rated as 'doubtful' for the Kingdom's Munster championship opener against Tipperary on May 21.

Kerry manager Jack O'Connor may also be without the services of Colm 'Gooch' Cooper for this weekend's tie against Dublin. Dr Crokes star Cooper is yet to confirm his availability following the sudden death of his father Mike on Monday last.
