Tyrone too strong for Rebels

All-Ireland champions Tyrone are right in the mix for a NFL Division 1 semi-final spot despite a less than convincing display at Healy Park.
In their re-fixed tie, the Red Hands kicked seven wides in the opening 25 minutes but still led 0-5 to 0-2 at the interval. Martin Penrose and Sean Cavanagh kicked two points apiece.
Scores from James Masters and David Niblock (0-2) helped Cork narrow the margin, but Tyrone kept ahead with Stephen O’Neill, who hit five wides in the opening half, landing three points.
Joe McMahon (0-2), Ryan Mellon and Collie Holmes also raised white flags.
