UCC star Ronan Conway has been forced out of the Cork side to face Clare at Pairc Ui Rinn this Sunday due to injury.

Conway, an Under-21 last season, picked up a knock in a colleges game on Monday and his withdrawal is the only change to the side originally selected to take on Wexford last weekend.

That game was called off due to a waterlogged pitch at Wexford Park, with the re-fixed date worryingly yet to be confirmed.

Conway's place at left half-forward goes to 2004 All-Star Niall McCarthy.

Last year's All-Ireland winning skipper Sean Og O hAilpin remains sidelined, while Pat Mulcahy, and Ben and Jerry O'Connor are still absent from the line-up after Newtownshandrum's All-Ireland Club final defeat.

Sunday's NHL Division 1A clash is a repeat of last summer's All-Ireland SHC semi-final which the Rebels won by 0-16 to 0-15.
