Mayo remain at the head of the posse in NFL Division 1A after their fourth successive win at Castlebar.

Mickey Moran’s side hit nine unanswered points to boss the first half. Mayo led 0-14 to 0-05 at the break with Conor Mortimer and Ger Brady on form.

Fermanagh brought midfielder Liam McBarron off the bench and the switch had the desired effect. On 37 minutes a speculative Tom Brewster shot spun into the Mayo net off defender Dermot Geraghty.

However, points from Mortimer and substitute Kevin O’Neill, whose last league game was back in 2001, steadied the Mayo ship.
