Tipp end Antrim's unbeaten run

Antrim’s unbeaten run in Division 1B came to an end at Cushendall as Tipperary edged them by four points.

On a greasy surface, Killenaule forward Declan Fanning goaled after 55 minutes to help the visitors into a strong lead.

The Saffrons fought back with Paddy Richmond netting three minutes later, but Tipp held on with John O’Brien landing the match-winning point.

It was a free-fest in the first half as left corner forward Darragh Egan scorched over six frees to help Tipp into a 0-7 to 0-3 lead at the break. Johnny McIntosh landed three frees for Antrim.
