The physical powers of young Liam Hinphey will be stretched to the hilt this weekend as he has been named in both the Derry hurling and football teams for their respective league matches.
The Dungiven dual player, who has been a rock at the back for both of his county sides, has been named at full-back in the hurlers' line-up for tomorrow's NHL Division 2A visit of Meath (Banagher, throw-in 2.30pm).
Derry boss Sean McCloskey has made two changes to the side that beat Roscommon last time out - wing back Michael Kearney and wing forward Aaron McCloskey are the new inclusions.
For Sunday's NFL Division 1B showdown between unbeaten Derry and last year's champions Armagh (Celtic Park, throw-in 2.30pm), Oak Leaf manager Paddy Crozier has made two changes.
1998 All-Star Sean Marty Lockhart returns to the fray having missed last Sunday's win over Kildare as his wife gave birth to a new baby boy on Monday. The 29-year-old Lockhart replaces Gerard O'Kane at left corner back.
Mark Lynch is the other new inclusion at right corner forward - Martin Donaghy, who was held scoreless against Kildare, makes way.
The 21-year-old Hinphey, who has played in all three of the Derry footballers' league outings to date as well as the hurlers' two openers, has been included by Crozier at left half-back, but it is doubtful whether he will start the all-Ulster tie.
